Frequently Asked Questions
What is Bike Stories Pro?
Bike Stories Pro is a one-time unlock — there’s no subscription. It adds unlimited bikes, importing rides from Apple Health, exporting service and resale history as PDF, and automatic daily backups. You can buy it from Settings → Go Pro, or whenever you reach a Pro feature in the app.
How do I restore my purchase?
If you’ve already bought Bike Stories Pro and want to unlock it on another device — or after reinstalling — open the app, go to Settings → Go Pro, and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.
How do I import my rides from Apple Health?
Importing rides from Apple Health is a Pro feature. The first time you use it, the app asks for permission to read your cycling workouts. If you skipped or denied it, you can enable it later:
- Open the iOS Settings app
- Tap Privacy & Security → Health
- Tap Bike Stories
- Turn on Workouts
Bike Stories only reads workouts (and their GPS routes, when present) — it never writes anything to Apple Health.
How do backups work?
Backups are a Pro feature. Bike Stories keeps automatic daily backups on your device (the latest 5), and you can also Back up now, Restore, or export a backup as a zip from Settings → Backup & restore. Backups stay on your device unless you choose to export and share them.
Does my data sync across my devices?
Yes. Bike Stories stores your data on your device and syncs it through your own private iCloud account so your bikes appear on your other devices signed in to the same Apple ID. The data lives in your private iCloud — 12F has no servers and cannot see it.
How do I turn off analytics?
Bike Stories includes optional, anonymous usage analytics that help improve the app — no bike data is ever sent. To turn it off, open Settings and disable Share anonymous analytics.
How do I delete all my data?
Your data is stored on your device and in your private iCloud. Deleting individual bikes, parts, rides, and other entries removes them from within the app. To remove everything, delete the app and remove the app’s data from iCloud in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.
