Frequently Asked Questions
How do I restore my purchase?
If you’ve already bought Dog Stories Premium and want to unlock it on another device — or after reinstalling — open the app, go to Settings → Premium, and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.
How do I delete all my data?
All your data is stored on your device. Deleting the app deletes all of its data with it. There’s no server-side data to remove.
You can also delete individual dogs, memories, notes, and other entries from within the app at any time.
How do I enable importing walks from Apple Health?
The first time you open the walks section, the app will ask for permission to read walking workouts from Apple Health. If you skipped or denied it, you can enable it later:
- Open the iOS Settings app
- Tap Privacy & Security → Health
- Tap Dog Stories
- Turn on Workouts
Dog Stories only reads workouts — it never writes anything to Apple Health.
How do I opt out of calendar sync?
Calendar access is opt-in — the app only writes appointments to your iOS Calendar after you grant permission. To turn it off:
- Open the iOS Settings app
- Tap Privacy & Security → Calendars
- Tap Dog Stories and disable access
Appointments you’ve already added to your Calendar will remain there until you delete them.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?
Because all your data lives on your device, deleting the app deletes all of your dog’s records, photos, memories, and notes along with it. There’s no server backup. If you want to keep a record, export or screenshot the data you care about before uninstalling.
