This privacy policy describes how SnapDeck AI handles information when you use our iOS application.
Information Collection and Use
SnapDeck AI is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to your personal data. All information you enter stays on your device. There is no cloud sync, no account required, and no data ever leaves your iPhone.
Data you enter in the app:
- Decks: Deck titles, creation dates, and card counts
- Flashcards: Questions, answers, review status, and creation dates
- Study Sessions: Progress tracking, known/review card counts
- Photos & PDFs: Images and documents you provide for flashcard generation — these are processed entirely on-device and are not stored after card generation
- Settings: Appearance preferences, flashcard count preferences, and other customization options
AI Processing
SnapDeck AI uses Apple Intelligence (Foundation Models framework) to generate flashcards from your study materials. This processing happens entirely on your device:
- No data is sent to any server — all AI processing runs locally on your iPhone
- Photos, PDFs, and text you provide are analyzed on-device only
- Generated flashcards are stored locally in the app’s private container
- We have no access to your study materials or generated content
Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. This data is kept in a private app container that only SnapDeck AI can access. We do not have servers or databases that store your information.
There is no cloud sync feature. Your data exists solely on your device.
Third-Party Services
SnapDeck AI uses only Apple’s built-in frameworks:
- Apple Foundation Models: For on-device AI flashcard generation. All processing happens locally — no data is sent to Apple or any third party.
- Apple Vision: For on-device text recognition (OCR) from photos. All processing happens locally.
- Apple StoreKit: For processing in-app subscriptions. Transactions are handled entirely by the App Store. We do not process or store payment information.
- Apple PhotosUI: For selecting photos from your library. Selected photos are processed on-device and are not transmitted anywhere.
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Analytics and Tracking
We do not track you. SnapDeck AI does not include any analytics SDKs or tracking code. We do not collect:
- Usage patterns or behavior data
- Device identifiers
- IP addresses
- Location data
- Any form of telemetry
Children’s Privacy
SnapDeck AI does not collect any personal information from users of any age, including children under 13. Since all data remains on the user’s device, we have no means of identifying or collecting information from children.
Your Rights and Data Control
You have complete control over your data:
- View: All your data is visible within the app
- Edit: Modify any deck, card, or setting
- Delete: Remove individual decks and cards, or delete all data by uninstalling the app
Since we do not collect or store your data on our servers, there is no data for us to provide, modify, or delete on your behalf.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on the App Store and updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy.
